MCACA Grant Info, Discussions – 4/8 in Alpena & 4/9 in Manistee

Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs will be presenting free informational workshops in Northern Michigan on 4/8 and 4/9, focused on FY2020 grant guidelines and application process prior to the June 1, 2019 deadline. Workshop attendance is not required for grant applicants; however, updated guidelines and application process changes will be reviewed at each meeting, so attendance is encouraged. Pre-registration or RSVPs are not required.

MCACA Grant Workshop Schedule

  • April 8 – Alpena, 9 am– Noon:  Art in the Loft, 109 N 2nd Ave # 300, Alpena, MI 49707
  • April 9 – Manistee, 9am – Noon:  Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts, 101 Maple St, Manistee, MI 49660

MCACA is also hosting small discussion groups following the grant workshops. These gatherings will provide an opportunity to meet Alison Watson, new MCACA Director, and to have your voice and your views heard as the Council plans for the next five years.  MCACA wants to know what you see as the role of the Council, what opportunities the Council should be aware of and how the Council might address those opportunities.  The discussion should last no longer than two hours and is free and open to the public.
